I think they would have some checks for legality, but that might be just for trading. Anyway, you could try it out. The only thing I can think of that might happen is that they'll reject your nice pokemon for being hacked or whatever.

Also there is no difference between a set level 50 and a set level 100. the stat ratios are in proportion when everyone else is also 50. so I wouldnt worry about it.

The reason for asking is that back in the Red & Blue days when having battles using ledgenaries vs ledgenaries it was just more fun.
Whats the point having the ledgenaries in the game when you can't use them.
I miss the days when I would send out my Mewtwo just to have another sent out against me.

Use your own pokemon, op, and add some diversity to online battles. Battles are ever so boring when everyone and their mother pick pokemon from Smogon's Over Used list. Seriously, there are over 640 pokemon, I'd guess maybe half of them are 'usable' but all I see are same 30 or so.

well friend codes are the newage linkcables. you got to know the person to fight em, little has changed in that area. that is if you want to put it in perspective. BUt! you can go http://www.serebii.net/chat-wifi.shtml and ask for legendary battles. just like any other community, read their rules to avoid grief
