Is they any setting's that DS lite needed are somthink that need to be done to Router settings to fix IP error ...

But stage how Ds original gives an auto IP on setup with WIFI game., and DS lite dose not.

Did you try to set it up manually or automatically? (To try and help you I'm going to assume you're doing it automatically)
Head to the Wi-Fi settings using any game, and delete the info off whatever slot you were using before.
Tap said emptied slot, and hit "Search for a Wireless Access Point". When your access point pops up, enter your password (if you've got security settings, that is).
Run a connection test. Does it work? If not, check your IP. If it's 0.0.0.0 still, then set an IP address manually.

Pro tip: I usually just add 1 to the IP of another device I have, so, in this case, type in 192.168.1.4
Run a connection test again. Did it work?

Also another tip I'd suggest if the above didn't work is to set it up entirely manually, from scratch.

What's troubling me is the fact that I can't think of a reason as to why you'd get 0.0.0.0 as an IP. Are you sure you typed your password in correctly? (if you have one)

Yes Blastoise Many thanks, I have tried all what you have mentiond

Auto and manual , No problem with Access Point found.

Just on step 3 only 0.0.0.0 showd up in DHCP .

I feal it maybe the DS Lite it self many have somethink wrong, are maybe I should try a diffrent router...

As i sen on setup on step 3 with DS original it's gets an IP right away on auto .

security settings all of and firewall of .

All right, have you tried giving your DS Lite the IP I suggested previously?

Also if I recall correctly, you can't access a DS/Lite's wi-fi settings unless you have a game with on-line capabilities and head to the wi-fi settings from there. This might sound a bit stupid, but I think it wouldn't hurt to use a different game. Just in case.

Anyway the last thing I can think of is this:

If you're using a Windows computer, go to Start and type in 'cmd'. (If you're in an older version of Windows, go to 'Run...' and type in 'cmd')
Type in exactly the following: ipconfig /ALL
A huge pile of information should pop up onto your screen. I'll get to that in a bit.
Go back to your DS Lite and attempt to configure it automatically once more.
Back to your computer screen, look for the term "IPV4 Address". The number to the right represents the IP of your computer. Now add 10 to the last bit of your IP. For example, if you had:

IPV4 Address. . . . . . . . 192.168.1.102 (example)
Then type 192.168.1.112 into your DS Lite.

You can also try to take different bits of information (Default Gateway, DNS, etc) and copy them straight to your DS Lite (obviously with no modifications).
This always works like a charm for me when I can't seem to configure it automatically.

If it still doesn't work then I would have suggested you get yourself a new Wi-Fi chipset for your DS Lite, but what bothers me is that it either works or it doesn't. It's strange that it can detect your access point but not connect to it when your DS Phat can. You might want to just try getting the chipset from the link provided. It's only $1.66 anyway and it ships worldwide for free. Oh and while you're at it get yourself a tri-wing and a Philips screwdriver, since you can't open up your DS Lite without them. This is, of course, assuming you're comfortable with opening up your system. If you decide to go that route, I can give you precise steps. I've disassembled and re-assembled DS Lites countless times.

Yes i have use mario cart wifi settings to set them both up.

I will try 1.4 but i think it will not do much good.

PS: I'm not using the internet vr WIFI, I just what to connect to the router as is.

Have try manual setups.

I will look and give over what you have sugested to :) thank you.

But i think it maybe a damaged DS lite

On Step 3 while wifi signal shows my DS lite , locate in green turns very quickly red flasing.

My DS original stays Green as normal while flashing .

Anyway many thanks for your help : Blastoise .

I live in the UK, and DS lite are real cheap to pickup second hand about £40 to 50 !.

I could also find a diffrent routed to try, Will give this a go first .

EDIT: PS, I think maybe I should just stick with my DS original for backing-up my games :)

After all this time figured it out and now working.

Change 802.11 b+g to 802.11 b

And now DS lite connects to router :)
