Linux ftw, never get viruses unless you're doing something REALLY stupid, like harassing MOFCOM. Not that I do that or anything. On a related note, I wonder if we can get a Korea-bot that sends out the hex information in addition to the patch.

gentoo is definitely where it's at.

so here's what I got me: a mario kart red DS phat, EZ-flash (who knows what firmware, I update when I want a newer game, haven't had time in a while), some badass earbuds that make the bass louder, and a 2gb microSD

Linux never gets viruses because the bigger hive has more honey.
Oh I see... So it has nothing to do with the fact that Microsoft OS's make up 90% of the used OS types in the entire world to this day and less than 1.25% use Linux/Ubuntu. I always thought that the soul purpose of a virus or other forms of malware were to scam and/or extract a ton of information and/or money from mass amounts of people. It seemed logical to me that people wouldn't even bother creating viruses for Linux because the only people who actually use Linux were the smallest fraction of tech enthusiasts and not your average computer-illiterate web surfer.

"1.25% use Linux/Ubuntu" I'm pretty sure you can't call Ubuntu and Linux the same thing. Linux and Macintosh (A derivative of Linux/BSD) have a much better security model than Windows. In windows, everything with a .exe extension can execute, making it incredibly simple to execute. It also makes the easiest way to install and run things. If a tech person wanted to, and I'm like 80% sure that someone would, they would create one for Mac/Linux to disprove it. But nobody ever makes a 'mass' one, hell I haven't even heard of one. You don't think like a virus maker. Most people who make virus's make it for fun. Virus's don't extract information, that's other forms of malware -- Just like crashme... wasn't that it's name? It killed the DS. Technically the DS doesn't get virus's, but someone disproved it. And pissed some people off. It's the same effect as fireworks you like the explosions. Anyways, is there a patch for the english? I've read around and can't seem to figure out if theres a working one or not. I should probably update my cyclo and try it.
