I have the same problem after hex editing, so I wonder if that's the correct fix for R4.

Doesn't work on my R4.
I hexed it, no dice.
Tried to patch, no dice. Though, the R4 patch doesn't even work. Gives a CRC error.

Tried unpatched, patched, and hex edited on default R4, YSmenu and AKAIO. Nothing.

All I get with default R4 and YSmenu is two blank white screens. With AKAIO (and hex edited rom) it's the blank white screens, but a popup with japanese text in it comes up and sits there till I shut my DS off.

so, playable without knowing single japanese characters except save?( i know this one )

How to play "Estpolis" on your DSTT and R4

For other than R4:

1. Download Patch.rar and get a Patch.exe file from the RAR archive.

2. Drag your ROM and drop it onto the Patch.exe. That's all.  

For R4:

1. Use the Patch.exe in the folder of "For R4"

2. Rename your ROM file to "Estpolis.nds". Use the ROM file that has CRC32:5E9060DF. CRC32:C8A85A8B isn't applied!

3. Put the Patch.exe to the same folder of the renamed Estpolis.nds file.

4. Execute the Patch.exe. That's all.

For specially DSTT users:

1. Download the Estpolis_info.zip.

2. Get infolib.dat and extinfo.dat and rplace them with the contents of TTMENU folder.

3. You don't need to path your ROM file. That's all.

Note:
This path is not only for "Estpolis". It's one of game to be patched by Universal Child's Play Patch.  

The file having the ".bak" extension is the backup copy of the original nds file.

I've tried every tip and trick listed in this thread, but still can't get it to work on my R4Pro. I'm aware that the R4 Pro isn't the same as the normal R4, but does anybody know how to get Estpolis working on one? It seems like every new game lately with copy protection doesn't work on this card.

Same me, i've try both patch and unpatch but can't work on my Acekard2I + with Firmwave Akaio 1.5.1.

doods what u have to do is use the YS menu wich is somesort of aplication,just drag ysmenu.nds to the card and run it,the ys menu is on page 2 i think,then after putting the patch or hex editing run into from the ys menu.

so:
1-patch/hez edit
2-run ys menu in the ds
3-run the game in the ys menu

can u send for me link download of YSMENU for ACEKARD2I. please help

If you use YSMenu on AK2i, you may brick it.

I've try YSMENU on my Acekard2i (Link down here). It freeze after loading every game on my flash card.

I'm using Akaio 1.5.1 again, it normal.

That mean YSMENU can't run on my acekard ><
