I hate to ask, but just how long are we going to have to put up with DragonBallZ character graphics in the Dragon Quest series?
Do you know the character designer of Dragon Quest is Akira Toriyama, the author of Dragonball? Which means all the Dragon Quest game's character will be drawn in his style. If you seriously dislike his artwork that much, I really suggest you to just play another game instead.
Weeeellll... you could say the same about Chrono Trigger, but they got a different character designer for Chrono Cross, so there's no telling what will happen in the future. Same goes with Kaneko and Shin Megami Tensei.
If you know how much influence that DQ series doing in Japan, you'll know SquareEnix will not put any risk on that series. In Japan, DQ is a seal of profit. Every single DQ game makes huge profit, and they can always outsale FF game there. Toriyama's designs are like the signature of DQ series so I highly doubt they will change the game designer of it.
Yeah that's true, but you can argue it both ways. Like they could change the art director and it would still make a bajillion dollars. Add Amano to that list.
anyone checked if it comes with secret english or spanish inside the rom? D:
This game is the best one of the series *.* cant wait
I took a look inside after unpacking the you-know-what with dslazy, but there's only the Japanese text this time. I guess they wised up after Dragon Quest IV.

or because the only DQ game that already translated long time ago, is only DQ4, the rest is never released outside JP so yeah beat it man, might be the forgot to delete the US language when they create DQ4 that's all
Oh well since this one and DQIX dont have any relase date yet I'm gonna start playing DQ3 for the snes using my psp slim, just got the translation patch, after that I'm gonna play DQ7 on my psp for the first time. So if I heard correctly, that will ensure 100+ hours of Dragon Quest gameplay.

You have my guarantee that DQ7 will waste all of your time give you at least 60 hours of grinding fun gaming.
Is that so? Since I finished DQ V I've been trying to play every game in the series, so I just finished DQ I-II, and now Im just starting with III...
I've just got a lot of rpgs in my psp. PSX:Suikoden II, Breath of Fire 3, Castlevania SOTN and GRANDIA. GBA:Golden Sun, DQ Monsters- Caravan Heart, Mother 3, Shining Soul 2 (which is awesome), Summon NIght Swordcraft story, Fire Emblem 6, Super Robot Taisen OG 1-2... and some others. Snes: DQ3, DQ 1&2 and DQ6 which Im not going to play now, i'll wait for the official release on the DS.
I wouldn't call Castlevania an RPG, but that is a classic game. In my opinion, you need to play Suikoden II, it's probably one of my favorite RPGs of all time.
I know SOTN isnt actually a RPG, but I love that game, finished it like 3 three times and I still enjoy the game.
Suikoden II looks really good, when bored of battles you can just hit auto and wait till the fight is done xD
Right now I'm playing Glory of Heracles, it isnt that bad, i got bored of sands of destruction i just didnt like that one its just too boring (for me).
