A couple of days ago Xenophobia released the USA version Chrono Trigger, along side the release was an included patch to fix the issues that occurred at certain events in the game. That included ppf patch was actually for the Japanese version. This fix was released a day after which should now work on the USA release.
Personally i wouldn't consider it proper fix or hack so to speak, as all it does it patch the game with the cheat codes that were created as a temporary solution to bypass the issues on flash cards last week. There should be no need for people to use this patch who run the game on a flash card that already addressed the problems by releasing a firmware update. So only use this patch if you experience issues with the game.
note: i haven't actually tested it myself so if it still wont work for you don't blame me :\

Put our original unmodified dump named xpa-ctu.nds into a dir
Put xdelta.exe, our .patch and .bat file into the same dir
Run the .bat
The game is now patched and will run without interruption.
hmm on my supercard ds one i can actually get the game to start unlike the other patches but it seems to get stuck while its making initial save data
this may be me getting the save settings wrong on the firmware but i dont think so, i even told it it is a 1mb save it culd be uncompatible with the supercard :-O

What is it that you are having issues with understanding? Just make a new folder, put the rom in the folder (btw you cant ask for where to download illegal roms on this website, you gotta figure that bit out on your own ) put the patch and batch file into that same folder. run the batch file (I think all you gotta do is double click it, and a command prompt usually pops up, shows some text, does its thing, and then should close) once that is done then the .nds file should be patched right up.
Im still using the japanese version (comes with a full english translation) of this game with a AR code on my R4, so I didnt even go through the hassle of patching this rom. (btw you can download a good cheat file from gbatemp, which has the bypass codes for this game)
Also which flashcart are you using, or are you using a pc emulator?
