Rudolph has updated his NDS Wi-Fi Backup Tool to 0.31f. From what I can make out from the translation it seems that the Wi-Fi communication should be more stable now.

Translation

"NDS_Backup_Tool_Wifi" was updated. The communication might be a little more steady.

There's a step by step guide on how to get it running on TeamCyclops forums here, but the site seems to be down for me, maybe it'll load for you though  it could be a problem my end.

The slot-2 backup tool is much easier to use and more reliable imo, but obviously you need a slot-2 cart like supercard sd, m3, etc, to use it. All it does is backup your original game card to the sd card in the slot-2 device, then you can transfer it to PC. A lot of new people to the scene don't own one of these though so the Wi-Fi tool is the only way for them to get a backup of a retail game onto their PC in .nds format.

These tools are what the majority of the scene groups use to dump DS ROMs and its not often they get updated.

The most reliable one was DarkFader's one, the original one. The downside is that you have to use a GBAMP and it takes like 2 hours to dump one game.

No README? Did you try to use it? GBA ExpLoader is very easy to use, I presume this is easy too.

About GBA ExpLoader (from its README):
Quote
With this program, you can run GBA games in SLOT1 flash cards through SLOT2 expansion pack.

If your SLOT1 flash card supports soft reset, you can use it as "Rumble Pak" or "Memory Expansion Pak".

Supported SLOT2 expansion pack is "3in1 Expansion Pack",  "EZ4 lite-delux" and "EWIN EXPANSION PAK(2in1)".
"NOR mode" and "Rumble Pak" function is enabled only in "3in1 Expansion Pack".
