It crashes as soon as it starts converting video, though it converts the audio

Have you tried to open the media you are trying to convert in WMP and play it without errors ?

If you can't, then you are missing codecs which are necessary for BatchDPG to work correctly.

Also, do you have AviSynth installed ?

well, I use vista too, and it works perfectly on WMP. I have AviSynth, and it crashes on the video convertin too. I guess it's compatibility issues.

are you trying to use it on multiple cores?

the box is there to choose more than 1 core, but it'll crash if you select 2 or 4

leave it at one, and it should work just fine
