In the latest VJump magazine a new Blue Dragon game has been announced. Unfortunatly, the game seems to be a Card-Based one.

It all comes down to how well they can cooperate the card battle part and the rest of the game.  I played games like that before, and a lot of them having similar problem: lengthy card battles, which really turned me off.  If somehow they can shorted the length of the card battle while keeping it interesting, that would be great.

Sweet News, there seem to be some really awesome titles coming into development for the DS lately.

doesn't look entirely card based, could be a good game. Nice to see major franchises coming to the DS either way.

There will have to be an english one later aswell though...it's a well known title enough to sell extremely well in the US and Europe.

Hooray! More of Toriyama's lack of creativity in character design and obsession with dragons!
I've never played a good card battle videogame before. These news are always a let down for me.

I don't know where you all got your speculations from, but search for newer information, and you'll find out that the game is an RTS, not unlike Heroes of Mana...

Agreed with the point that Toriyama doesn't have much creativity in character design. =X It's easy to mix up characters from Dragon Quest and Blue Dragon if one's not familiar with the games.

*edit* Sorry, I read through the first post's scans, and here's a clarification to those who can't read Japanese: The article IS about the Blue Dragon Trading Card Game, which is a real-life card game. The announcement of Blue Dragon DS is just a side-article and is no way related to those card designs found on the scans.
