# 2.1 (26/08/2007):
* New: Pictods now runs on Linux and Mac. * New: Possibilty to link PictoDS to your prefered PDF to JPG software (new command line available in "Path" dialog box). * New: In command lines ("Path" dialog box) it was just possible to specify the executable to use. That was annoying if you wanted to add an extra option, so now you can use %filename and %outputdirectoryname and enter the exact command line you want (see pictods.properties to have an example). * New: Possibility to change the software to browse the output directory (command line option in 'Path' dialog). Usefull for linux and Mac users or if you don't like the default Windows explorer. * New: Possibility to use PictoDS through a command line. Go to 'lib' directory. Enter java -cp org.pictods.jar org.pictods.Pictods. Read the help. * Change: File extension is not added in the image names after conversion anymore. * Change: ComicBookDS.ini file is now only generated when the generate button is pressed. * Change: Output directory has been renamed from 'nds' to 'cbds'.
I'm a mac user and have been looking for this for a looooong time.
DL the mac version and run the pictods.sh file and this is what I get
cd lib java -Djava.library.path="." -cp .:swt.jar:org.pictods.jar org.pictods.ui.PictodsUI
It's a plain text file that looks like linux command line to me. I tried DL the linux version to see waht the difference was, and there is none. Same files exactly. If anyone knows how to get this running, could lend a brotha a hand?
Thanks, dattson

I've been in contact with nicom00k for several days now and he's really good with replies. He's given me another shell command to try but the linux and mac versions don't work. I'm a noob when it comes to linux but even the chmod command to make the file executable doen't work. By the way, with the .sh file in the mac version, you're gonna have to open up a linux terminal , untill someone makes a drag and drop. I feel like I'm the only mac user in the emu/homebrew scene. I've posted on 4 forums and still no replies. Later, Dattson

PictoDS freezes my computer every time it converts files. Doesn't matter if it's a .rar or a .cbr or whatever. I'm using it on Windows, so it's even stranger: I have yet to figure out what's wrong.

It's nice to know that there are other mac users in this community. We need to stick together. It's hard when the scene is dominated by PC's. Any info is good info. You should have seen the crap I went through in regards to my Dreamcast. Anyway.... Mac love, Dattson PS The pictods homepage has been down for the last couple of days. Maybe an overhaul?

Basically, i think he sold his homebrew because some people were interested in it. That's probably why Picto DS site is down and that you can't download ComicBookDS anymore on Gnese website.
