Ok what do we have here? First up, donaldliew posted in the browser patch thread about a new version of the patch that he has created which now works with the G6! this is pretty cool achievement so it had to hit the news section!

Due to the fact that the browser patch is THE most popular download file on the site and has had the most discussion I think of all the threads, I have decided to release a simple patching pack for those that are still having problems and those that may now have problems trying to patch the rom for their G6 devices.

Included in the archive are all of the current patches for Supercard, M3 and G6 devices plus 3 simple batch files for patching the rom. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Download the archive (of course) and extract it on your pc somewhere
  2. Place your rom in the folder named "browser.nds"
  3. Click the batch file for your flash card:
    G6: OPERA_G6_Patch.bat
    M3: OPERA_M3_Patch.bat
    Supercard: OPERA_SC_Patch.bat
  4. This will output a a file named browser_sc.nds for supercard, browser_g6.nds for G6 and likewise browser_m3.nds for M3
  5. Treat the file as a normal rom and place it on your Slot 1 card
  6. Run the rom with your chosen slot 2 device in the slot and bingo!

I hope this helps, I also made it work if you forget to rename the rom so it should work if the browser file is named arangel-ndsb.nds aswell. Again props to donaldliew again for creating the G6 patch for us all!

Download Here
You need a Slot 1 card to use this. You also need a slot 2 device which replaces the RAM pack this is just an update of the previous patch which can be found here. Please read that before asking any questions.

Please read here before asking any questions. This is just an update of the previous patch!

This means that you can use the G6 instead of the RAM pack. Sorry perhaps I didn´t explain that well enough as this is just a modified version of the previous patch.

I can now see floods of posts like this coming now, i better correct the main post:/

MexiChrist: You do not even get a black screen flash up? Which operating system are you using?

falcon212: no microSD is completely different to an RAM chip in the GBAslot. There are anough problems trying to get homebrew to run properly with FAT flash cards let alone hacking a rom to that extent! Sorry.

You need a Slot 1 AND a Slot 2 device. this works fine with the R4DS, you just need a compatible slot 2 device (m3/sc/g6)

Heh, sorry. I´ll try to be more specific. My OS is Windows XP and yes, a little black MS-DOS box flashes for a few brief seconds but no output file is created.

Oh, and if it matters, I have:
Slot-1: M3 Simply, 1GB Sandisk Micro SD
Slot-2: M3 Lite, 1GB Kingston Micro SD

Thanks, any help would be GREATLY appreciated! :D
