alekmaul has just released MarcaDS v3.0 which has had a total overhaul of the main engine increasing compatbility along the way. For a full list of compatible games please see the included gamelist.txt file or i will post it in comments aswell for you. Also we finally have some sound to be playing along with albeit only in pacman clones :music:

The high-score saving that was promised is unfortunately not included in this version so watch out for that soon along with a recent interview that we have had with alekmaul. Not saying anything more for now ;)

Sorry, no high score saving in this version ...:( ... I have too much work on
another emulator to implement it now.
The engine was completly remade so all the games engines too
Scramble, Galaxian, Solomon's Key, Penguin Kun was are playables
Add too much others games (more than 100...) to talk about them :) !
New graphic engine for sprites and tiles (direct access to memory=
Sound, at least ..., in pacman and clones

Man, really shoulda put a clrmamepro dat in there. I mean, if theres not even, at least, crc´s, how do we know we have the proper rom dumps? It could require older ones. I don´t know. I guess i´ll try and pull these from my 0.110 set, but I dunno..

I really don´t know why people have to act like snooty jerks on msg boards, or any other form of online chatting for that matter. I could act like a jerk to you too, seeing as you missed the whole point of what I said, but that´s ok, I won´t. Yes, i read the gamelist. Yes, i see it has the different games. Yes, i see it names the roms in the sets. But if you read what I said, I mentioned that they need to have each rom´s respective CRC´s, otherwise, we don´t know which rom is the exact correct one. I mean, ya know they redump those things, right?

Anyway, that´s all I have to say. Might I ask, next time, don´t act like a know it all, because the next person you think you´re being smart to (showin em who´s boss), might rub it in your face. Take it easy.

Yeah it sure would be nice to have a clr mame dat included but for 100 roms you can´t go far wrong really. I mean how many roms are in the complete MAME set now?

alekmaul has spent time putting the gamelist together which is plenty enough to include with the release, I don´t think people realise how much time these people spend on developing these applications available totally for free! Someone is always bound to find something they would like better and the same is true with commercial developments.

I have re-read BDaecy´s first post and it doesn´t really sound offensive towards the fact a dat is not included but perhaps could be re-worded into a question as to whether a dat can_be_included_next_time ;)

Yeaah. Didn´t mean to sound that negative, was sayin just that, it´d be nice. Like I said, I can just pull my stock mame roms out for this, and I´m sure they´ll work, but as for correct roms (if they use old ones) and even future changes on added/removed roms, it might make it easier to keep up with. Besides, it´s not that incredibly hard (just use Dir2Dat), not like I´m askin them to put in wifi support (AND screaming about it like an unappreciative bastard :P )

Ok BDaercy, excuse me if i was so "aggressive" with you, it was not the goal of my comment, it was only on a "joke" style.
Well, I am using the same roms than mame so I think I can add a crc checker like it.
I think the best choice will be a dat file whith the zip files content (name / size / crc, etc ...).
I put it on my "to do" list for the next release  ;)

Ohh, one thing flew over my head, and that was that you´re the author. Anyway, sorry. But yeah, clrmamepro, Dir2Dat, or whatever, it´s cool. I was going to make a dat for this one the other day, but i got stuck at arkanoid, since it requires arkanoid.1 and arkanoid.2 files, and i can´t seem to find them, i guess you´re using an older set. Anyway, keep up the good work.
