Sander Stolk (Dark Knight ez) has updated AmplituDS my favourite homebrew game to date on the DS. This is just an update of the v2 files for FAT devices making it compatible with more cards. I just updated the files in the database. ;)

If you havn't tried this game yet you should give it a go!

I updated the downloads of AmplituDS (the FAT versions that is, not the regular flashcard versions).
Another user was having problems with starting up AmplituDS so I felt I had to do this.
Made me get off my lazy ass. Hopefully I updated correctly (it's late and mistakes are easily made).

You can check out some videos I created of AmplituDS here.

Please read the Online README for instructions on how to set up and customise the game.

Download FAT Version Here:
v2_amplituds-fat-sram.zip
v2_amplituds-fat-write.zip

Download Level Packs (Needed for FAT Versions):
v2_amplituds_stages_premium.zip
Unzip to a folder named "amplituds" and place the folder on the root of your media.

Download NOFAT Version Here:
v2_amplituds.zip (Includes both levels in seperate .nds files)

Heh. I avoid smilies anyway. :p
I noticed your comment, yes. I really need to think it through the next couple of days.
I´m sort of busy with other stuff right now though. I´m sure you can guess what.

Looking forward to seeing your new project but if you do ever go back and polish up AmplituDS, it would be nice to see that customised background image (Loading BG from FAT) if indeed it is possible without too much change ;)

I´m kind of having an issue with loading in and displaying images from FAT with the new project.
Half of the graphics display correctly, the other half doesn´t. Garbled stuff all over the place.
Since that´s closely related to what you requested, I´ll only look into loading AmplituDS BGs from FAT when I fix these issues.

I won´t make any promises though. AmplituDS really needs a lot of rewriting in general, and adding another feature (which takes a day or two full-time) in a hacky way which would need to be adjusted for the rewrite doubles the work. It´d be like adding the same feature twice.

I´ll probably end up starting rewriting parts of AmplituDS when I need to take a break from the new project. And I also still need to work on (stages for) tssf´s new music. Damn busy. No time. *shakes fist at Father Time* Make time relative already instead of absolute!

I may be able to help with this process again. Are you getting help from other angles on this side of things yet?

Holding your breath is usually not a very healthy thing to do anyway. :p

And on tssf´s music piece I haven´t received any help.
I mapped the instruments to the lanes (roughly) and I think that´s about right.
Haven´t started work on insane´s layout though (which always should be the first layout worked on).
Any help would be greatly appreciated, but I know you´re busy yourself as well.

That´s been dealt with. A really non-obvious faulty behaviour for which I sure don´t feel responsible. It now working fully dynamicly with FAT is great though. Awesome sight. :)

Loading it all in will take approximately 10 to 20 seconds in the final build, but it´ll be more than worth it. So let me know when you have spare time on your hands and would like to see how this is all done and then we can continue on your project as well. :)

Edit:
If you would like to use the same method for loading in graphics and such, your project should load up much faster than what I predicted for my own project. So don´t worry about that. (Maybe around 5 seconds? More than reasonable.)
