Honestly, they've created a whole world full of monsters to collect, train, and fight, and show us clips of battles that play out exactly how we imagine they might if they were real. Then they give us the same old rehashed crap of a turn-based game that works nothing like what they wanted us to imagine, with little more new to offer except for a few new hastily slapped together monsters to slake our thirst for Pokemon awesomeness. Sure, I'll play Pokemon Black/White 2, but I'll do so angrily.

Nope, it'll definitely be angrily. Teeth gnashing and one fist raised the entire time. You know how hard it'll be to play through the entire thing with only one hand?

its not like they didnt change the battle system. they added the rotation battles and thank god that they did take out the singles and doubles. you make it sound like you wanted them to create a new battle system, like battle rotation mode and then only battle with battle rotation. Is it that pokemon now transcends its game and is now better as an idea? they should make a game based around the idea of pokem ...oh wait


Also usually in the "upgraded" game like emerald and pearl the L button can become another 'accept' button. so a raised fist might be possible haha

I'm gonna have to agree with you lot. There have been little to no major improvements from Generation 4 up to Generation 5, and I honestly had to endure the shitty repetitive style of Pokémon Black and White.
I'm probably not getting Pokémon Black and White 2 at launch. I'm sick of the series - at least everything that came after HG/SS.

GameFreak needs to design a whole new engine. We're in 2012 and they're still using the same old engine that's been around since Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, the usual 12 sprites the character cycles through as you run around, the crappy Pokémon battle animations, how the Pokémon just stand there boringly waiting for you to tell them what to do, etc. And seriously, why do Pokémon still take turns when battling? Back in the day it could have been due to the limitations older game systems had, but now it's just retarded. It should be a real-time thing. I really don't take graphics into account very often, but when it's 2012 and you're releasing a game like that, it is a bit of a disappointment.

Obviously developing it on the ol' Nintendo DS has its down sides, but even the DS is capable of so much more. (Remember SM64 DS, KH 358/2, etc.)

I'll eventually get Black and White 2 at some point, as I'm still a fan of the series, but that's not happening any time soon.

idk, if you take the turn base out you are no longer playing pokemon anymore. might as well just make a new franchise. its 2012 and dragon worrier still uses 1987 nes sound fx!?!

you probably only feel this way bc time is perceived faster these days where people think last week was a "long time ago" and because the ds had 2 generations pokemon while you feel that nintendo should of just did something for the 3ds. my guess is that they still are. platinum really isnt that old, it was released only 3 years ago in usa/eu 09. face it, if black and white didnt come out youd still have a pokemon itch and cursing down the days till when you can play a new game with turnbase pokemon action. let alone b&w2 ( a gd expansion) has a different storyline.

are the generations supposed to improve? or just update? bc red to gold was the same but gold was updated. gold to ruby the game wasnt improved. ruby to diamond they added internet. each game is a update not improvement and it doesnt have to improve bc it didnt happen in the 3rd installment and from there most knew what was happening. Yea seem repetitive but so is each season of football, although even then its different every time.

I THOUGHT PPL LIKED POKEMON BC IT WAS AN RPG NOT BC IT HAS A COOL STORY. did pokemon ever have a cool story? nope. ppl like pokemon bc inside the game with all of its complicated stats, collecting and mechanics, outside the game its just a relaxing, mildly stressful way to enjoy time.  

in all honesty they could of stopped making games after the original gold and silver and no one would of cared. but im glad they didnt bc i like playing RPGs and gamefreak's perpetual recreation and growth of a universe that include battles with pokemon keeps my brain stimulated and entertained.
