Nintendo 3DS owners in Japan can now download the 3DS Spot Pass Diary program. This will enable them to send messages via SpotPass and StreetPass, include drawings in 2D and 3D and attach photos and sound effects.
The program will be available in Europe from tomorrow, Thursday 22nd, named the Nintendo Letter Box. No word on a North American release yet, but we will keep you updated.
So basically I'll just be walking down the street with my 3ds and randomly get a poorly drawn image of breasts or other various anatomically ambiguous images? No thanks, Nintendo.

Its mainly for communication, but you may spot someone immature enough to draw dick to you. But I don't think that anyone would be so stupid.

I've just downloaded the app and sent some season's greetings to a few people. Quite fun little application. Had a little "chat" with Nathan just now. I think he's doing fine.
Also, the different features only get unlocked one at a time, 3D drawing, attaching photos, including background templates, but somehow I seemingly haven't unlocked sending sounds yet. Sound would be nice to accompany those pics I sent to Nate. lol
Oh, also still haven't found anything on a US release yet, but we at least now know the app is going to be called Swapnote there.
