So today was a good day for every Monster Hunter fan.
Not only was MH4G announced for Japan, MH4U was also announced for the west to be released early 2015.

Watch the full announcement Video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3o-5ZKoUKxw&feature=youtu.be

The really awesome fact about MH4U being announced for west is that we will be able to skip the original version of the game, which always has less bosses and less difficulties. It will also feature Online Multiplayer from the get go and tons of new mechanics, bosses, Armors, Areas and a way better Story mode.
Am I hyped? yes.

2015 for the 3DS one, wow... I was hoping for a bit sooner than that.

You must not wait one year.
Take the japanese release.
The game work fine with the Gateway.

You must not wait one year.

"You must not" means "you are not allowed to". ;p

I wouldn't play it on the gateway even if I had one (together with an extra 4.5 3DS which just isn't happening for me).
The only purpose I would buy it for is to play games that don't have european releases like Digimon World RE: Digitize decode, Attack on Titan, Rune Factory 4 or Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal (even though the YGO game would suck without japanese reading skills). God even Shin Megami Tensei 4 doesn't have an EU release.
I would of course first import  the game before playing it on gateway. Did the same with Grandia 3 (PS2) on the Emulator. That way it's legal I support people I want to, feel less guilty and am more motivated to actually play the game.

Also I think the game gets released on Easter Holidays, like last year.
Which is great because by that time I should finish every 2014 game that I'm waiting for. The only 2015 Game I am waiting for is, well, MH4U, Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth and Phantasy Star Nova (that is hopefully going to get released at least in NA).

I mean:
Of course I would import the game if you cant wait to play it.
I dont say play a rom with the Gateway.
You can use the Gateway to unlock the Region and than play the "original" game.
Import a game to support the software companies is the way what we all goes all other is ilegal.
Or see you a pirat here anywhere?

wink

Man, you really need to work on your english skills.
I was just pointing out that the english "must" and the german "musst" have different meanings.
You must not wait -> Du darfst nicht warten
You don't need to wait -> Du musst nicht warten.

Monster Hunter has so many items that playing it without being able to read it actually ruins the game a bit for me so I'll be waiting for an English copy now it's been announced. Gone are the days where I can stay up all night playing games and I MUST have them on release dates.

Anyone play MH3U on WiiU? It'd be good to blow off the dust and hook up sometime for a couple of kills... I got full set Brachydios G gear then I kinda stopped playing. I didn't manage to kill the last boss at all or kill Devil Jho on multiplayer (I ended up soloing a lot as the people I played with stopped playing at G rank).

My friend is playing with around 400 hours on Wii U (I only lasted 280 hours).
I myself have only the 3DS version.
I haven't played as much to have a Brachy Armor but I have the most overpowered bow and killed several Devilhjo's.
now with MH4U having Online Multiplayer on the 3DS I might play longer. And I probably will because the story mode starts with a freaking Jhen Moran tutorial battle.
Best. Tutorial. Ever.
