  renaming ds roms

I have been active in the ds scene for a while, all the way back to the ds (original). I currently have approx. 5800 roms. I know I have duplicates. I am looking for an easy to use software to rename the roms with their proper name and release number only. I have tried almost all of the programs out there. Most of them are frustratingly complex when they do not need to be. Anyone know how I can rename them all at once?

I don't know of anything that specific, sounds like you'd need to create your own batch renaming program.

Wikipedia has a small selection of batch renaming programs.

I believe there is a function in the DS-Scene Rom tool that enables you to do that.
I'm not sure however, maybe Nathan can verify this?

Dunno, I don't use the rom tool, I don't even have any roms lol. Could be though.

The batching in the rom tool is for patching, trimming and repacking en masse.

nds crc has this as a function, however, for some reason, I have never been able to get it to work properly.
