I have a little problem with my SaveDongle, i couln't backup my HeartGold savegame (EUR GER version).

It would be very kind if someone who already has the SaveDongle and HeartGold / Soulsilver (no matter which region) this guy could test it if works for him.

I'm not sure if I made a mistake myself. This Dongle is quite new, and I have to get used to it first...

Well, I don't have SoulSilver, but I'm at the moment backing up my collection of originals. And while backing up the save from Zelda Phantom Hourglass the program said something about an EEPROM error. The savefile was transfered to my computer, but when I inserted the game into my DS it gave me an "your savefile is corrupt" and then "fixing save file" message. It somehow managed to repair the saves, because they are still there and working. Weird nonetheless.

Oh really?

I have a technical explanation for that. The Zelda Phantom Hourglass savegame is bigger than the usual ones. And maybe Version 1.0 of the SaveDongle software can't handle that. The savefile should be 1 MB to get it working.

I'm using version 1.1. And the savefile that got extracted from the Zelda game cart is 512KB. I haven't tried uploading it to the cart again, but you say it should be 1MB? Then it most certainly wouldn't work afterwards, hmmm... what to do?

And I don't know if size really is the matter here. Mario Kart 7's save file for example is also 512KB, and I didn't have any problems extracting that one. I really don't know.

I'm using version 1.1.

What?

I still have version 1.0. Why didn't you tell me that there's a new version already..?

Well, 512 kb is definitly too small for Zelda. That's a bug then. Please throw that savegame away and don't use.
