I've been trying for about 4 hours trying to get this game to work.  I have r4i upgrade revolution v1.4 flash cart with the v1.31b kernel.  I can run the japanese rom (no patch) just fine, but I have used both 2.11 translation patches, and both produce the same result...  It black screens after dad jumps out the window.  I have read about people hex editing the unpatched rom image to bypass this, but is there a similar way you can do it after you've patched the rom?  It seems the patch is causing the AP to trip, even if it doesn't on my japanese rom.
