I'm a mac user and have been looking for this for a looooong time.

DL the mac version and run the pictods.sh file and this is what I get

cd lib
java -Djava.library.path="." -cp .:swt.jar:org.pictods.jar org.pictods.ui.PictodsUI

It's a plain text file that looks like linux command line to me.
I tried DL the linux version to see waht the difference was, and there is none. Same files exactly.
If anyone knows how to get this running, could lend a brotha a hand?
