i have no problem with killing nazis in games or movies or whatnot,
i love indy, past captain adored wolfenstein (the first one),
i laugh my ass off at cartman in nazi uniform, no problem there.
it's not like i wanna defend the 3rd reich against mockery or anything,
i just wanna be seen as a different kinda german, same as you not wanting to
be called a pedophile cuz of what one nutjob did over ten yrs ago
(btw, what does a mole say when he's digging underneath belgium? "hey kids!" ).
why cant we let bygones be bygones and focus on the things that
make us laughable right now? also, for us, the 3rd reich really is
no laughing matter, there's a tendency to mock hitler in the german media
by now, and its mostly silly unfunny rubbish, and i and loads of other people
cant stand it. like i said before, a non-german cant understand,
you gotta live with it every day, its part of our education, our media, our general discussion,
our collective conscience if you will, and i dont go online to face the
same shit again all day every day.
also, if you'd faced the same flak over dutroux that i did over hitler
the past couple days, i would totally understand if you blew a fuse
and went on a ranting spree.
i'm no whiny bitch normally, it just reached my personal boiling point.
