NEW ANiME SERiES ANNOUNCED


Nintendo showed a trailer for the upcoming anime special Pokémon: The Origin during the Pokémon Game Show. The anime special will air on October 2nd and will follow the story of the first two Pokémon Games: Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green.

Now heres me wondering why it's called origin but doesn't follow the manga instead of the games

where the main characters are red, green and blue

Games came before manga, that's why. :)

I think games (Green and Red) were first, then anime (Pocket Monsters), and manga (Pocket Monsters SPECIAL) begun then.
So even if the manga is based on games, the Origin is based on games, not manga that is based on games. :D
