The missing DSi data was just filled with FF's.
So not much difference really. On the graphics side anyway.

Well, I honestly don't know the answer to that. The releases have different CRCs but are in essence the exact same games. All I can say is try it yourself or wait for someone with more knowledge on patching stuff to arrive. Cheers.
