I'm sure you all have some games on the 3DS (if you got a 3DS) that you really recommend, but just don't have much playtime on it. So, which games do you guys find really good, yet play very little, and why (to both)?

I got Cave Story 3D like that. It's a great game. I loved the original one and finished it twice, once before it got translated to English (with some really awkward bug reports to Pixel through his BBS and one guy who was nice enough to translate back and forth), and once when it was fully translated. The 3DS version is very well done, very well executed and maintains the same feel the original has. I just can't get myself to play it, cause I'm kinda hooked up to my laptop due to stuff like Msn / Skype (which is such a huge timesink...) and obsessive-compulsively checking my mails, that I can't get myself to play a game I've already played twice a third time, no matter how great it is.

Only have three 3DS games and that's why I have more than 20 hours in each one.

EDIT: maybe that bird game from the eShop.
Played it two times for just a few minutes.

I got two: Cave Story 3D and Occarina of Time. That and two eShop games. You'd guess I'd have plenty of playtime on all of them then :P

So what's wrong with it, that you hate it?

It is so pointless. There's no story, no nothing. Just some stages you try to desperately navigate a submarine through. The controls are awful, the sounds (all two of them: "Mayday!" and "Ship damaged!") make my head hurt, the 3D effect is cheap and well, the game just sucks. Especially the periscope thing is crap, you have to move the 3DS and look stupid. The worst part is the fact that it was nearly 60 euros, being one of the first games for the system. Man, even Uprising wasn't so expensive and it has a truckload of content.

Ouch... Sounds like those typical Flash games with a submarine that's gotta get through a maze-y underground cave thing, and either shoot baddies or harpoon-and-drag crap out of the way, while being kinda pulled to all sides in a failed attempt to give a "floating" effect. Those usually come with horrible collision detection, to finish it off. I hear ya that that kinda stuff's not worth playing.

Cave Story 3D has little playtime (compared to the other games at least) for me for two reasons: I tend to quit playing after 5 minutes because I die every second, and once you finish it in all modes there really isn't much to do except speedrun. No one else that plays on my 3DS ever wants to play Cave Story, so that's probably another reason (I lied!) there isn't a lot of playtime on it. Still one of the best games of all time, though.

Street Fighter also doesn't have much playtime, but that's just because I'm terrible at it (retro and Guy can verify this) - and again because no one else that plays on my 3DS likes Street Fighter.

EDiT: yeah, Steel Diver is a pretty terrible game. It's broken beyond belief. A black spot on the 3DS's otherwise decent catalogue.
