Some games don't get released in Europe or the US.
Mostly it's just spelling differences between English English and American English.
And DSi games are region locked.

The difference is unnecessary letters in words like color, or humor. That's right, unnecessary.  chill

in some specific games like Layton, there's difference in some puzzles.
Otherwise it just spelling. Not much after that.
