Damn straight i'm here. Welcome me and nice to meet everyone.
Now, i'm planning to get a 3DS XL which i assume is the best one? I know my way around the psp and ps3 scene but i'm a total noob with this, first nintendo console ever.
So, how do I get started on the scene? it's flashcards, firmwares, what? welcoming all information
no good flashcards atm. The only one is Gateway 3DS that requires REALLY old firmware. Dont forget to buy a Extra Charger... the XL doesnt have one... If you need some good titles to play: Kingdom hearts 3D Kid Icarus Uprising Monster Hunter 3U Pokemon X Y (soon) Luigis Mansion Animal Crossing New Leaf
You probably see that most of them are 1st party... anyway... if you have more questions feel free to ask Welcome to the Scene :>

Yo! No 3DS flashcards yet (except for GateWay, but it requires old firmware) but you can still buy DS flashcards. Go for the DSTWO. It might be a bit expensive ($30-$40, other cards cost around $10-$15) but it's the best card you can find. For games to play, here's a short list of my favorite NDS games:
999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors
The World Ends With You
And for 3DS games:
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward (Sequel to 999)
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Mario Kart 7
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
Project X Zone
That's about it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

My Ak2i is finally broken! At least the paper trick isn't working anymore. I would/will eventually choose the DSTWO. Although I still think the AK2i is pretty snazzy, I can't update my DSi and spend the last 200 Nintendo bucks.
