Well it does work on sc sd but has save problems, :ohn: first off you need to patch it to save to a nds card, anything with a 64k save will do i used mario 64. Then when you get to the file select screen yourll have to delete the top save, theres 2 buttons on the right of the file select screen, click the bottom one then touch file 1 and delete it, now start a game on the fresh file and it will work, the only problem is when you reboot the ds the save will become corrupt angry  so its playable but if you wanna see the whole game yourll have to keep the ds on ;-)

I have now tried about every combination possible to try and get this working now. It's a shame because i loved the Starfi games on gba and it doesn't look like Nintendo will be bringing him over here anytime soon, stupid Nintendo :chair:

Right i just done a firmware test to check everything was ok by holding L + R on boot, everything checked out fine so i loaded starfi back up and this time when entering the 1st level instead of pressing A i used the stylus to start the stage and now its working fine patched to save to SD with nothing ticked.
Hahaha it was unbelivable how much grief i had with this game, im so glad it's working properly now :link:

So you now have it working and save on Supercard SD? There is now no need for the DS card?

This sounds like a very obcsure way to do things but let me get this right...

  • You patched with Supercard 2.52 software and are using 1.61 firmware
  • When you start the game, use the stylus to make your selections without pressing any buttons.

The game should now load and work correctly? If so this is fantastic news. I know what i will be playing the second i get home from work. :luigi:

*Update* Yeah it definately does work. Patch as above but the first time I loaded the game i got blank screens. When I rebooted there was my save file clear as day totally not corrupt  :-D

As you say it appears to freeze after doing the boss but you can save in game at ther mermaids fine. Also when you quit and save from the map area you will get blank screens but I have noticed it then saves fine :punk:

Yeah i dunno why i kept getting a corrupt save at first. Once i got it working it was fine after that. Anyway i finished the game a while back and thought it was one of the best games on DS so far. So i done a review that you can check out Here
