Rudolph, the same developer behind the awesome EZ Flash Expansion pack application as well as many others, has released these 2 extremely handy tools.
First is a DLDI rom dumper which will enable you to dump copies of your games to your slot 2 device. The second is a WiFi/FTP version of the dumping tool. Initial tests seem very promising!

NDS_Backup_Tool_Wifi_01b (2007/8/2: Renewal V0.1b) It is ROM backup, but FTPD (the FTP server) it depends, but generally DS→PC (send) with it is the speed of 20KB/Sec. Because 25~30 amount it is required with the backup of ROM of 32MB, connecting the AC adapter, when please work (it is 128MB patiently, 2 hour rank). After long haul being required, transfer error coming out lastly, permitting, [ne]! Unless [hurami] it is done, there is no with useless [tsu] lever, [ne]!? As for details, reading, please view [ne] .txt
NDS_Backup_Tool_Slot2 Rather than Wifi edition thinking, because it seems that is favorable, before making formal edition, it tried making the test edition for Slot-2. Naturally, Wifi edition compared to is high speed. It tests with only NDS_Backup_Tool_Slot2 EZ4. Why with my EZ4LDX the language setting which is set to DS, becoming English, be sure to be started. It is correspondence schedule finally, but you wanted to know also the circumstance of everyone, it releases that way. Depending, with my EZ4 message becomes all English (lie). One for EZ4 has entered into the EZ4 folder as bin.
I have translated the Read Me from Japanese. If there is anything unclear it is probably due to my technical knowledge more than my Japanese ability.....I think (hope)
Here goes: NDS Backup tool slot 2 (test version)
For use on a slot 2 device, this is a tool that will back up not only save data/restore but also the ROM image. As I am concerned about damage to the ROM save data and so on, please be sure that you use this tool at your own risk.
First steps/introduction
First of all patch with the appropriate DLDI file for your slot card, as there is currently no default. The save file will automatically differ from the Wifi version.Dont trim the ROM image. The directory that will be used on the SD card is fixed, and if it doesnt exist it will be automatically created.
Usage- Buttons
Boot up the NDS Backup Tool Slot 2. Use L and R buttons to toggle through Save backup/save restore/rom backup.
save backup mode
A: The contents of the designated save file will be updated with contents of the ROM save file. B: Create a new save file, will back up the ROM save. The name of the automatically generated save file will be GameTitle_Gamecode_No.sav. It will automatically calculate/designate numbers 00-99.
save Restore mode
A: The contents of the designated save file will be overwritten to the rom save (restored) ROM Backup mode
A: Update a designated ROM back up/dump with the designated NDS file B: Create a new NDS file/back up dump.A file name will be automatically generated in the same way as listed above. If there is already a file with the exact same name it will be automatically overwritten.
All Modes
X: will change the slot 1 NDS ROM (toggle)
Start: will close down the program and turn off the NDS.
Points of warning
There may some instability with the creation and overwriting of files using the slot 2 DLDI. Absolutely only use after backing up your SD card contents.
When unsure about the ROM save type, it will come up as "unknown". If the save type is unknown, and if you have tried many times without success and get the same message about a particular ROM then please do not hesitate to contact.
It will not recognise the Macronix 1024Mbit (128MB) card on its own. You will need to connect the base adapter etc. Thanks and Recognition.
The save type and flash type Read/write/erase process was used with reference to SaTa's REIN. For the Japanese font, tarosa's officially released daybreak Gothic 12dot data was used. For this Icon, I am using Nayuta's as well as borrowing from John. Thanks to all of SaTa, Tarosa, Nayuta and John.
History
V0.1 2007/8/05 The slot 2 was created based on the Wifi version.
Important Points
Only people who own the ROMs may create back ups. You cannot sell or distribute the back ups of ROMs in any way or form.
Furthermore please do not use this tool to engage in unfair or illegal practices.
And on his website he writes (to clarify the above)
I have only tested this on EV4. Somehow on my EV4LDX when I boot it up it always boots up in English. In response to everyone's wishes and needs I will release this as it is, imperfectly. Consequently, on the EV4 the messages seem to be displayed in (false) English. For use on the EV4 a bin file has been put into the EV4 folder.
I've always wondered, how does a new rom get spread? Like, if someone dumps something new, do they go to #ds-scene and tell everyone "Hey I dumped a game! Add it to your DS game list!" But then... how do every other rom site know about their rom if they don't tell them about it?.. Is there like one irc channel where webmasters wait inside for new roms to get listed so they can go update their website?

That wifi dumper works great. I have no slot 2 card and I was out of luck...until now! It works great. All my dumps work on my R4. I have had one nuke, but I redumped it and it worked fine.
Do you know where I can find a guide, or some instructions on how to use the Wifi/FTP software? I have an R4, and would love to backup my original nDS games to play on it. Any help on how to use this would be great!!!
