Rudolph has released version 1.9 of his EZ-Flash V 3-in-1 Tool. I translated it with a little help from google as best as I can so I hope this is makes sense.

Quote
  • Supports time stamp of the SAV file which it draws up & renews
  • NOR with mode <X> GBA when starting, to initialize the picture correcting if there is no frame
  • Corrected the problem where it cannot load GBA after resetting a game.
  • Because of above, only R4/M3S and DSLink now support software reset with <START> loading to PSRAM. After resetting it returns to the menu in the <SELECT> screen
  • "EZ4_2in1_Tool" being similar, being able to select expansion storage correcting the fact that it is in addition to R4/M3S and DSLink

As you may have noticed in the quote, Rudolph has also released a new 2-in-1 tool which does basically the same thing as this tool but for the EZ Flash IV cards albeit without rumble of course.

Pretty damn cool8)

Rudolph is something else. I wish someone would make a 2-in-1 for M3Perfect Slot-2s.

I still like Cory´s loader more.  :D

You don´t have to flash your DS when using the 3 in 1 expansion with the R4 do you?

Is it just me, or is anyone else having trouble with saved games using v1.9?

I was messing around in ms pacman maze madness, got quite far, so turned off after it had saved my game. I was a tad worried that turning it off would stop my game from being saved properly, so I turned back on, backed up my save to the .sav file, loaded ms pacman from the menu and checked my progress. All was fine, my game had been saved. I turned off,  and played something else.

When I came back to load my ms pacman game again, my progress had been wiped.

This is getting to be a habit now - lots of games lose their saves even though they worked fine previously.

Any thoughts?

I have just one last question before I receive my 3 in 1 (I ordered it 2 days ago). With the R4DS do you need to patch gba roms?

I just received my 3 in 1 today and I´ve been having the same problem. I play some fire emblem, save, then turn off my DS and go backup my save. Later I feel like playing some minish cap so I load that up and play and save and backup my save for that.

When I go back to fire emblem the save file has been completely erased and I have to start all over. Does anyone know how to get around this?

What´s the best way to get the rumble going using a Cyclods or ds-x?

I have an R4 and a 3-in-1, and am having problems with saves as well.

I also can´t get Mario 3 (Mario Advance 4?) to work correctly, either.  I can get to the map screen, then it just shakes up and down nonstop, and I can´t do anything.
