Users of Gateway clones (cards which software is based on the Gateway 3DS software; R4i Gold 3DS Deluxe Edition and 3DS Link) might get their system bricked, as the reports of this happening hit the internet a couple of days ago. Supposedly, the Gateway Team has put a code in their beta 2 release that bricks 3DS systems.

It has recently been found out that the Gateway team put code into their Beta 2 (clones: 3.2-3.3b) that purposely bricks 3DSs when the checksum of the launcher.dat fails. That means even when using a real gateway card the code can trigger when the launcher.dat is corrupted in any way. The code is written to trigger at a random point in time which is based on the time the file was copied onto the SD. When the brick code triggers it bricks the firmware and reprograms the eMMC NAND to have a size of 0 bytes.
Please be careful when using a Gateway clone. It is recommended not to use any new firmware on clone cards (e.g. R4i Gold 3DS Deluxe Edition v3.2 or v3.3b).
This is just mental. I can somewhat understand bricking clones, but holy shit they brick the 3DS! What a bunch of cunts. They're ruining the flashcard business not only for others but also for themselves, because people who aren't in the know of what different kinds of flashcards there are now hear that there are flashcards that brick your 3DS, so they won't buy one anymore. Fucking hell I hope no one buys a single Gateway anymore, what they've done is unbelievable.
Dont use Copy Cards use the Original Gateway because Gateway is the Future ^_^
They didn't targeted users they targeted clone development. Why should they suffer? It isn't Gateway's fault for everything that is happening. The one to blame is the clone companies, they have steal the work. The original is always the best and the Future.
