Shovelware. Edge of Time was pretty lousy, this runs on the same engine and then adds its' own flaws on top.
If you were expecting a Metroidvania, you'll be disappointed: the game is almost completely linear - the most backtracking you might do is 2-3 rooms on a side trip for a powerup or a collectible (at worst replaying a mission if you finished it without the collectible), and unlike EoT there are no powerups enabling exploration or any true exploration element to begin with.
The engine seems to have been slightly upgraded - the enemy sprites are certainly a little notch up from the horrid ones in EoT - but the development team AGAIN decided to blow their entire polygon budget on 3D backgrounds, leaving the actual gameplay area looking horribly bare in comparison to what can be seen in the likes of Web of Shadows or Shattered Dimensions.
To add insult to injury, the entire thing takes 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach 100% completion (One hour and 45 minutes. That is not a typo) despite being priced like a proper game.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.
