OK. Now we're getting to a point where the purchase of a 3DS is something that might be considered.

Those release dates are valid for EU/US also, right?

i have yet to see the new (!!) game/ new (!!) IP that will make me even consider thinking about maybe looking into buying a 3ds sometime in the future. and no, pokemon teal/ beige won't do it for me (yeah, seriously, teal and beige, you heard it here first, fan-boys!).

just in case anyone else was interested in how they are achieving that cool 3D effect in the Zelda flash site.

I had a look at the index and poked through the action script to get the location of the assets they are using ( below ). There's also a script that controls the DisplacementMapImage inside the index.swf. Oh and a nice transparent png source of the Zelda game logo

if i get bored i might make a little zelda 3ds sig that uses these effects.

When you dare to ask such a question in such a thread, I'd recommend to buy an "Xbox" and to leave the Nintendo people alone.

I'd get a 360 because you'll get more play time out of it than of the 3DS at the moment but of course that, eventually, you're gonna have to buy a 3DS too.

My advice to buy a 3DS in March 2013 still stands.

And the remake of one of the top 5 greatest games in 3D doesn't change that.
