Dang, really? I just ordered myself the DSTWO or whatever because I was interested in the GBA emulator. Are you saying it's basically hit or miss for which games work? I had high hopes
I do have a Lite, but I JUST bought an XL to be my main back up file handheld.

Let's start with the fact that if emulation is what you want then the DS is not what you're looking for - the horsepower is very limiting and the screen resolution forces coders to either use croping or resizing. Just get a PSP or one of'em Linux-based handhelds and get on with your life.
If you're dead-set on the DS, get the DSTwo - it's the best flashcart you could get, especially with the extra CPU. You can opt for an R4i Gold, but that of course has smaller capabilities. GBA emulation is worse than native GBA support via a SLOT-2 cart, but it's acceptable on the DSTwo.

FYI for the prior discussion of GBA on a DS. I have a DS Lite and use an R4i Gold 3DS cart with an EZ Flash 3-in-1 expansion pack and it works fine. WoodR4 has integration with EZ Flash so it will work fine. Make sure to get the WoodR4 builds from the R4i Gold 3DS website though.

Both the ez flash iv and supercard dstwo can be used for gba games. But the old dstwo is hard to get now. Ez flash iv could be a good choice if you own a nds/nds lite/ gba sp.
