Technically not a today's purchase, rather purchases made throughout this week that are relevant, but what the hell - say "Hi!" to Fat Boys Slim:

+ Dual Shock 2 controllers x2
+ 8MB Memory Card (Sony) with Free MCBoot
+ Spare parts for the PS2 Classic - I didn't buy it, I got it for free some time ago but it's broken - getting them tomorrow and fixing that baby.
+ AV-Cable x2

All in all, good deals. :D

Current contents of my Gaming Grotto:

Oh, Grotto, Y U SO DAMN FINE?

Sweet :D But you lack a NES, a SNES and at least one Sega wink How do you handle the cable junk, btw? My main problem with lots of consoles tends to be the cable junk. That and the extension of the cables: switching plugs behind the TV all the time.

I do have a Sega system - there's a Dreamcast on the left side of the photo. :P

As for the NES, SNES and the like, they were not distributed around here and you could only get them if you had wealthy family abroad or attended computer expos and were willing to pay large sums for them. Now they're dirt-cheap, but I don't feel all that attached to them, so I leave them for later, after I get the Saturn, the XBox and the rest of the current-gens.

As for cable management, I only keep up to two consoles connected at a time - the rest is for show. This is actually the living room, not my room - the consoles were there for cleaning, but I snapped a picture because why not? :P

Lessee.

Borderlands 2 (EUR, PS3 - pre-order)
- the first game is awesome, so this was a no-brainer

The Testament of Sherlock Holmes (EUR, PS3 - pre-order)
- sounds very interesting

Medarot 7 Kuwagata Ver. (JPN, 3DS - not left Japan yet)
- played the demo and it was awesome! The battle theme rocks socks

Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest 3 - Dai-kaizoku to Shippo-dan (JPN, 3DS - arrived in Finland today :)
- Oh my gooness!

Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (USA, DS - ??? haven't heard about this for a long time)
- Oh my gooness...

7th Dragon (JPN, DS - ??? still on the route mayhap)
- maybe the last game I bought for regular DS, the elusive RPG

Not 'today', but it's (most of) the (cool) stuff I bought since the last time I posted in this thread. LRTB: Lykke Li - Youth Novels, Lykke Li - Wounded Rhymes (not the Deluxe Edition, sadly), Björk - Debut, Björk - Post, Björk - Volta, Arcade Fire - The Suburbs (this was ludicrously expensive, considering it's been out for over two years, but hey, got to waste on money on something amirite), Beck - The Information, Caravan Palace - Panic, Herbie Hancock - Rockit 7" (near mint condition, barely any crackles, nice, only 25 cents).

[User Posted Image]

I think the first thing I will do once I receive payment from work will be to purchase a semi-decent camera, so I don't need to use that awful 3DS camera anymore. Seriously, you can barely make out 'Caravan Palace' or 'Herbie Hancock', and 'Beck' is completely illegible.

You do know that this card was handed out for free when the first Pokemon film was being shown in cinemas and that it is now "banned" from being used in the actual game? ;)

Oh, haha, you're totally right, I got Ancient Mew mixed up with First Gen Charizard. Would still want one though (even though I haven't been collecting Pokémon cards for years), only Mew I have is the holo one Kiekoes got as well. Mine isn't even anywhere near mint condition (well, not according to eBay standards anyway). :'(

Well, time for me to show-off.

Technically I didn't "buy it", nor did I get it today, but I received it as a gift from my girlfriend for our anniversary. That said, it's an item I always wanted to have and never got around buying one. Lo and behold:

Best Girlfriend Ever? I think so!
