The first one-shot chapter of Shaman King Zero takes place before the Revoir Arc (volume 19/20). Yoh is 9 or 10 years old. He is teased at school for being different and listening to different music. One day at school, Yoh is being teased so bad that he gets accidentally wounds the boy that teases him. Because of that, the boy who teased Yoh makes his father exorcise the train station, because he know that Yoh goes there after school and talks to himself. The person hired to do the exorcist is Yohmei (Yoh's grandfather). Yoh tries to stop him be he can't. During the exorcism, Yoh shows up with a guitar and Suzu's boyfriend. Then Yoh uses the Hyoi Gattai to incarnate Suzu's boyfriend and plays the guitar for her. After Yoh played the guitar, both Suzu and her boyfriend went to heaven. After this Yoh isn't teased anymore.
Shaman King Zero Omake 2
Chapter 2 opens with one of the main characters of chapter one: Shimamura Joutarou (Suzu's boyfriend) who is going to America for war. But the ship isn't headed for America, it's headed for Manchuria (China). There they stumble upon a character who looks like Tao Ren, but it is (probably) one of his ancestors; Tao Ching. 41 years later Tao Ren gets a special present for his 9th birthday: a zombified Shimamura Joutarou. Ren uses Spirit Fusion 100% on him and kills him (again!).
Shaman King Zero Omake 3
Coming soon!
So I am pretty excited about this new series since I'm a huge Shaman King fan. I read rumors that this series will go on until March/April and then Shaman King Flowers will replace it.
More Shaman King? Weird, SK must be one of the oddities that have risen from the dead. Originally the whole series was cancelled from Jump, then they made the KANG ZENG BANG (Kanzen-ban) version with the "true ending" and Flowers chapter. And now he's back at it already.
I'm not too fond of SK, couldn't finish the manga nor anime, mostly because I don't like the characters and the story is a weird mishmash of everything.
Wouldn't be surprised if they announced SK remake anime soon, Ã la HUNTERxHUNTER...
