You can write them a letter via the Nintendo MailboxLetterbox app. But there is no instant messaging system as of now sadly.

That'd be great! I've been playing it a bit over the past couple weeks and I'm currently level 40, got a bunch of powerful weapons 'n shit, so I could probably help you speedlevel a bit :P Never played it online yet though, so I don't know how the experience is distributed in multiplayer.
