i don't know about you guys, but i love to surf'n snack, so this will be the place to share what we're currently snacking on.
i just finished a plate of the most awesome chili cheese fries ever, it's my favourite fast food in the world and i cook it about once a week, it's cheap, it's delicious, and you can eat it with one hand. maybe next time i'll cook up a batch i'll share some pics.
that's so strange (another instance of synchronicity right there!), cinnamon was tonight's special ingredient in my chili! i like to experiment with different tastes, sometimes i add some cocoa or dark chocolate, sometimes i use beer instead of broth or add some kind of soft drink for sweetness etc. this time it was cinnamon, to give it that special winter-y, christmas-y taste, and it turned out just awesome!
oh, and alp-monkey that you are, you can surely appreciate what i had for desert: rye bread with "eimalzin crisp" spread! i'm addicted to that stuff, it's way better than ovomaltine, but kinda pricy and hard to get here (fortunately, there's a Migros in my hometown, so i stocked up on eimalzin and tiger fondue over the holidays, but up here in cologne, that stuff is almost impossible to come by!).
Oh. So you're in Baden then..? I think there are some Migros stores in Baden.
Some people prefer sweet stuff for breakfast, some salty stuff. I'm mostly the salty guy. I never ever ate this Eimalzin, I had to look that up. I know that this stuff is expensive in Germany, and I aplogize for that. But it's not my fault. lol.
I'll go and get some Gipfeli in an hour. I can get them anywhere here, Migros, Coop, doesn't matter.
yeah, i'm from baden originally, but like i said, living in cologne now. i visit once or twice a year though, spending christmas with my family and shit like that, and usually that's a good opportunity to stock up on those awesome swiss products. unfortunately, the german Migros don't carry Fanta Mango, back in the days we used to take the train to Basel just to score some bottles of that stuff..... and some semi-legal weed. good times!
There's no weed in Basel anymore, that changed. There are quite a lot of stores in Kleinbase that used to sell weed - now they have signs in their window: "We don't seel weed anymore, for real, get over it" -- just like "We don't host commercial ROMs".
You know what's so weird about cities like Cologne? You have so many people arround you. I don't like that. Lausanne has 125k citizens, Basel 170k. Abd these are really big cities...

Paris has more citizens than Belgium, FFS, 125k is nothing. :P
I just had spaghetti with a bit of chili.
As dessert, I had a cake my aunt made while she was staying with us in France last week.
