Poll Question #68
Would you buy a Nintendo DSi?

Yes

[34.21%] [13 votes]

No

[36.84%] [14 votes]

Piracy confirmed?

[28.95%] [11 votes]

[38 votes in total]

Details are still coming in on the specifics, but apparently it is a DS, Camera and MP3 player in one device.  Screen has been enlarged to 3.25 and it features a slim size compared to the DS Lite.

I'd have preordered it right now if I could.
And about piracy, it can still read DS cards, right? Just get a slot-1 flash card.

Look at this. I want to have sex with it. Goddamn it.

[b]Looks nice i must admit.......BUT....have nintendo really thought this through? I mean no slot 2 what happened to backwards compatability? For wich they a renowned for. They could lose a big share of the market on that one. Was a bit pointless bringing the guitar hero grip out aswell if it can no longer be used.SD card Mmmmmm.. is it just for pictures or will it enable homebrew use? Are they allowing piracy? i dont think so. For the camera i have a better one on my mobile phone and thats not the best thats out there. So for me all in all i think its a bad move on nintendo's part yes it may sound good but is it really needed, currently the screen size is ok and dual touch screens....well i only got 2 hands and one of them is used to hold the damned thing....lol..
Think i will give this one a miss nintendo and urge you to re-think what you need to do to make it to the next level of mobile gaming greatness

IĀ“ve read more about it... and I think itĀ“s just a bigger but thinner snobbish DS lite with ugly hinches, with a lot of silly things, but no slot-2... if at least it had gps... xD

Well iĀ“ll just wait until M3Team finish the GPS slot-2 expansion they were working at and then say: fuck yeah, your DS might have a shitty camera, but mineĀ“s got gps! LOLOLOLOL! EPIC WIN!

in one of the pictures it shows some sort of interaction with a wii-mote, i wouldnt be suprised if it has bluetooth which would allow for a lot more accessories!

Well it depends.
I must say that I find most of it's known features pretty gimmicky. But if I happen to break my old DS Phat I'd have a hard time choosing between the light and the DSi. The missing GBA Slot bugs me just a little, but like I said the DSi features aren't thagt good, imo. So it would depend on the price, I guess. If it's not all that much more expensive than the Lite and the features prive to be used more than maybe twice in a game and the MP3 player doesn't completely fail in terms of audio quality, I'd buy the DSi.
