I don't know.
My Ouya is collecting dust over my Wii U (also collecting dust) for many months already.
The Wii U has definitively potential to stop collecting dust, but the Ouya... hmmm...
Well, the SNES, Megadrive, GBA emulators... and even ePSXe sideloaded works great, but eg. DS emulations is slow as hell.
The menus are bad, the interface not so good.

Actual games for the Ouya are scarce... Ok, there are a lot but that itself is a problem, the horrible menus make it very hard to find one good game between the 99% shovelware.
The controllers are OKish, but at least in mine the face buttons tend to get stuck, not nice, not nice at all.
I don't know, I hope it gets better soon.

Also, the sideloaded special XBMC version with hardware acceleration works great for videos, as long as you don't go Hi10p, it has awesome subtitle support (I watch anime, so subs get complicated with many effects, rotations and so, it handles them perfectly)... But for some reason the colors in mine look very off-mark purplish and white-burned. Don't know why.
