Shit like that is exactly why I never go to IRC channels. I used to frequent some, but they usually were plain boring, or full of stupidity. Worst are the anime fansub channels. They advertise themselves in fansubs, you go to the channel they advertise, you do an @find on the series you were watching and you get kick-banned because it's licensed and thus illegal (even though you can't buy it here). In the meantime, all their servers pop up results on what I was doing an @find for. They should take care of the servers hosting illegal stuff, instead of kick-banning people looking for it if they want to crack down.

Anyways, my experience with IRC is that it's full of shit like that, and those that aren't, are boring boring timesinks. You're better off playing some nice DS games instead of trying to rot away in an IRC channel

Actually, most forums (like 99,99%) feel exactly the same as IRC channels to me.
